Marriot attack case: Four accused acquitted

RAWALPINDI: An Anti-terror court today acquitted four persons held in connection with Marriot hotel attack case.

The court in its verdict said that no evidence was produced before the court against the accused while investigation officer also recorded no statement against them.

The acquitted men include Dr Usman, Rana Ilyas, Muhammad Hamid Afzal and Tahseen Ullah.

It may be reminded here that a suicide bomber had exploded his explosive-laden vehicle in front of Marriot Hotel on Sept 20, 2008, killing at least 54 people and injuring some 200 people.
